Grant Programs
Drive Oregon now has three programs to help attract funding to grow Oregon’s electric vehicle industry: the Grant Assistance Program, the Matching Grant Program and the Marketing Grant Program.
The Grant Assistance Program will help your company compete for grants from federal agencies and other sources. The program provides assistance in evaluating the applicability of a grant program; referrals to a network of grant writing professionals; and up to $5,000 in 1:1 matching funds for proposal writing, review, or development assistance.
The Matching Grant Program will pledge direct grants of up to 20% against larger grant proposals, with a maximum of $50,000. These funds can be used to match federal grants, state grants, or private equity investment. Applications are accepted on a rolling basis.
*Matching Grant Applications are now being accepted! Proposals are due 5/15/2013*
The Marketing Grant Program provides financial assistance to Oregon companies in the electric vehicle industry who would like to take advantage of trade show opportunities with the support of Drive Oregon. Drive Oregon will periodically prioritize trade shows into categories A,B, and C. For each category a maximum reimbursement has been established, up to a maximum of $4,000 or 75% of eligible costs. Eligible expenditures may include event registration, booth space rental, booth installation, freight , travel, and per diem costs.
The EVS27 Presenter Grant Program will provide financial assistance to individuals selected to present their original electric vehicle research/projects at EVS27, an international electric vehicle conference to be held November 2013 in Barcelona. Drive Oregon will reimburse individuals selected by EVS27 to present up to $1,500 for eligible expenditures, including conference registration, airfare, lodging and per diem. Please note: Individuals must first receive provisional acceptance from EVS27 to apply to this grant and initial abstracts are due to EVS27 by March 21, 2013. Visit the EVS27 website for information on their application process. This program will begin accepting proposals June 1, 2013 and the final deadline to apply is July 1, 2013.
